Application Description

ADW Launcher 2 isn't just another tool for tweaking your Android desktop—it's a revolution in personalization. You might believe that the original and best launcher hasn't seen an update in ages. But let me tell you, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, we released this update three years ago, and you just didn't notice! No need to worry; we get it, not everyone has 1.21 gigawatts to spare.

We've taken a deep dive into Google's recommendations on app settings and options, but as the ability to speak doesn't necessarily equate to intelligence, we've done the opposite. We believe that without the freedom of choice, there's no room for creativity. A launcher without options? That's just plain boring.

You might find the plethora of settings a bit overwhelming, and that's totally understandable. It's a normal reaction. Perhaps you're not ready for it yet, but trust us, your kids are going to love it. With the ability to configure it to your liking, the odds are approximately 3720 to 1 in favor of ADW Launcher 2 being the best launcher out there—math doesn't lie.

Sure, we've got screens, icons, and widgets. But why stop there? You can even create your own widgets. If you prefer a more hands-off approach, dive into our themes, widget, and template packs. Is your device's desktop looking a bit stale? No problem, just change it again, Sam. It's all about your style and your rules. Do it, or don't—there's a setting for it. Tweak it, change it, shaken, not stirred.

Remember, "There's no such thing as 'the unknown,' only options inside ADW Settings." Are you really going to miss out on this?

Endless Features

Most of the application has been reprogrammed and redesigned from scratch, with a host of new features added. Here's a taste of what you can expect:

  • Support for Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts (with limited support on older versions down to 5.x)
  • A new icons effects section where you can choose image filters and compositions. It's awesome!
  • Dynamic UI coloring that adapts to your wallpaper colors.
  • A new way to manage screens by holding down an empty area of the desktop.
  • New methods for adding widgets and shortcuts.
  • A fresh approach to changing the wallpaper, locking/unlocking the desktop, or accessing settings by holding down an empty area of the desktop and choosing the option.
  • A fast scroll app drawer style and an indexed fast scroll app drawer style.
  • New desktop transitions to spice up your navigation.
  • A new section to configure icon badges.
  • A visual mode for configuring desktop, icon appearance, folder appearance, and app drawer options.
  • Options to change the top panel/widget and the content type of the bottom panel (dock/widget).
  • A new wrap folder mode for folders, allowing you to launch the first app in the folder with a tap and view the folder contents with a swipe up.
  • A fast application search feature in the app drawer.
  • Improved app categories in the app drawer.
  • Enhanced user gesture management.
  • Better ways to apply internal and external themes.

  • And probably 2 or 200 things I'm forgetting...
  • A whole bunch of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff inside!
