- This is the first entry in the Essence series, featuring classic turn-based JRPG gameplay.

- You play as an adventurer investigating strange rumors in the kingdom, only to end up imprisoned and forced to escape this dungeon.

※ Game Tips

1. Visit the goddess to boost your stats, return to the dungeon, or save your game.

2. Start by equipping a Great Sword for area-of-effect attacks.

3. Find a useful item in The Wild's snake habitat that lets you skip battles.

4. If an area feels too tough, descend deeper to discover better gear.

5. Losing a battle costs you half of your current gold.

6. Evasion chance is calculated from Agility differences before combat starts.

7. All status ailments are cured when a battle ends.

8. Weapon special attacks ignore the target's Defense.

9. The gold cap is 999G.

10. Check bookshelves for valuable clues.

- Attack : regular and special moves

- Defense : reduces damage from physical attacks

- Focus : magical attack potency

- Resistance : reduces damage from energy attacks

- Agility : affects evasion and turn priority
