About Hazari:
Hazari is a four-player card game using a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt 13 cards, totaling 52 cards in play. Players arrange their cards in descending order and signal when ready by calling "up." Once all players are up, the player to the right of the dealer starts by playing cards.
The highest card value wins the round, taking all played cards. The winner then plays the next set of cards. After all cards are played, points are calculated: cards from Ace (A) to 10 are worth 10 points each, while cards from 9 to 2 are worth 5 points each. The game's ultimate winner is the first player to accumulate 1000 points across multiple games.
If two players play the same card type, the second player's card takes precedence. For example, if Player 1 plays AKQ of Hearts, Player 2 plays 678 of Spades, Player 3 plays AKQ of Diamonds, and Player 4 plays 55J of Hearts, Player 3 wins with AKQ of Diamonds.
Rules for Winning:
- TROY: Three cards of the same rank (e.g., AAA, KKK, QQQ).
- COLOR RUN: Three cards of the same suit in sequential order (e.g., AKQ of Spades).
- RUN: Three cards in sequential order, regardless of suit (e.g., AKQ of mixed suits).
- COLOR: Any cards of the same suit (e.g., K83 of Spades).
- PAIR: Two cards of the same rank with a third card (e.g., 443, 99J).
- INDI or INDIVIDUALS: Three unrelated cards, where the highest card determines the winner (e.g., 5 of Hearts, 7 of Spades, 9 of Diamonds).
How to Play:
Players begin by organizing their 13 cards into sets of 3, 3, 3, and 4. The first player plays their highest 3 cards, followed by the other players. The winner of each round takes the cards and plays their next highest set. This continues until all cards are played, with the final 4 cards being played last. The game continues until a player reaches 1000 points.
