Quickfire Rules:
After dealing the cards evenly among four players, each player bids by selecting either a high (black card) or low (red card) bid. Bids are revealed one by one, starting left of the dealer. If a black card is turned over first, the player who bid it 'grands' and the round is played 'high,' with teams aiming to win as many tricks as possible. No further cards are revealed after the first black card. If all bids are red, the game is played 'low,' with teams trying to win as few tricks as possible.
In a high bid round, the player to the right of the one who granded leads the first trick. In a low bid round, the player to the left of the dealer starts. Players then play one card each in turn, following suit if possible. If unable to follow suit, any other card can be played. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick, and the winner leads the next trick.
At the end of each round, points are scored based on the number of tricks collected by each partnership. In a high bid round, the granding team earns a point for every trick over six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team earns either one or two points per trick over six, depending on the 'set bonus' setting. In a low bid round, a team earns one point for each trick taken below seven.
