by Riley May 19,2025

Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that FBC: Firebreak, a new session-based multiplayer PvE game set within the Control universe, will launch on June 17, 2025. This exciting addition to the Remedy lineup will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Notably, FBC: Firebreak will also be accessible on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). This marks Remedy's first venture into self-publishing.

Players can look forward to engaging in replayable missions, dubbed Jobs, which will offer varied challenges, objectives, and environments that encourage teamwork and adaptability. Additionally, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99, which includes exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7.

The Deluxe Edition boasts an impressive array of content, including:

  • “The Firestarter” Premium Voice Pack
  • “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Pack
  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)
  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin
  • Golden Firebreak Spray
  • Classified Requisition: “Firestarter”: A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

FBC: Firebreak introduces the Requisitions system, designed to reward players with new gear and cosmetics earned through gameplay. These Requisitions can encompass weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all unlockable with in-game currency. Importantly, there are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; all items remain available indefinitely.

For those seeking further customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items, such as armor sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins, available for purchase with real money. These items are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay, ensuring a fair experience for all players.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025, followed by additional updates in 2026. All new playable content, including Jobs, will be free to all players. While cosmetic items will be available for purchase, they will not impact gameplay and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-in requirements.

As Remedy continues to expand its portfolio, it's also actively developing Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation, keeping fans eagerly anticipating what's next from this innovative studio.
