Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 system but features aesthetic and cooling redesigns with updated components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window extends across the entire side panel, eliminating side panel vents. Air intakes are located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design for a cleaner interior. The internal components include a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and GPUs.
Performance of the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU
The RTX 5080 is the second most powerful Blackwell graphics card, only surpassed by the $2,000 RTX 5090. It offers a performance increase of about 5%-10% over the RTX 4080 Super, which is now discontinued.
