Remember the quirky survival horror that swept the mid-2010s? Bendy and the Ink Machine's episodic format, unique rubber hose-style enemies and environments, and captivating story made it a huge hit. Now, it's returning to mobile!
The reveal trailer (link below) showcases Bendy: Lone Wolf's top-down, isometric gameplay. Players seemingly control Boris the Wolf, navigating the perils of Joey Drew Studios.
The original Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with spin-offs Nightmare Run and Boris and the Dark Survival, are already available on mobile. Lone Wolf appears to borrow heavily from Dark Survival, though its exact relationship remains unclear – a refined version or a completely new experience?
A New Chapter
Regardless, the Bendy franchise retains considerable popularity. It's often cited alongside Five Nights at Freddy's as a pioneer of the mascot horror genre.
Bendy: Lone Wolf's success will depend on its execution. While not the first isometric survival horror featuring Boris, its multi-platform release (including Steam and Switch) suggests significant improvements over its mobile predecessor. Expect something even more frightening!
