The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event offers rewarding challenges, but one in particular—repairing a broken object—proves tricky. This guide shows you how to easily break and repair an item to complete this task.
Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. Since the game doesn't highlight broken items, the easiest solution is to intentionally break something. While using the "prank" interaction is an option, it requires specific Sim traits. A simpler method is to repeatedly use an inexpensive item until it breaks.
The Ambassador toilet is an ideal choice; its low cost makes it prone to breaking. Repeated use (around a dozen flushes) will cause it to malfunction, fulfilling the "broken object" requirement. This can be done by your Sim or by having guests use it.
Repairing the broken item is straightforward. With your Sim's Handiness at level 2 or higher, simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken toilet. After a short time, the repair will be complete, resolving the Blast from the Past challenge.
