Mastering Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Comprehensive Guide

Brawl Stars' limited-time brawler, Buzz Lightyear, offers a unique gameplay experience with his three distinct combat modes. This guide will help you unlock and effectively utilize Buzz before his departure on February 4th.

How to Play Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear is a free unlock from the in-game shop, arriving at Power Level 11 with his Gadget already unlocked. He lacks Star Powers and Gears, but his Turbo Boosters Gadget allows for quick dashes, perfect for closing in on enemies or escaping danger. His Bravado Hypercharge temporarily boosts his stats. These remain consistent across all three modes. The following table details each mode's stats:

Mode Image Stats Attack Super
Laser Mode Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast 2160 5 x 1000
Saber Mode Health: 8400, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Short, Reload Speed: Normal 2400 1920
Wing Mode Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload Speed: Normal 2 x 2000 -

Laser Mode excels at long-range combat with a burn effect. Saber Mode thrives in close quarters, functioning similarly to Bibi's attacks and featuring the Tank Trait. Wing Mode offers a balanced approach, best used at medium range.

Optimal Game Modes for Buzz Lightyear

Buzz's versatility makes him effective across multiple modes. Saber Mode shines in close-quarters maps (Showdown, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball), its Super enabling precise targeting, especially against Throwers. Laser Mode dominates open maps (Knockout, Bounty) due to its burn effect, hindering enemy healing. Even with low health, his aggressive potential makes him valuable in Trophy Events and Arcade Mode. Note that Buzz is unavailable in Ranked Mode.
