Climb Knight is getting a major new update later this month, including extra minigames

by Benjamin Mar 17,2025

AppSir, the mobile developer behind the quirky one-bit platformer Climb Knight, is releasing a major update on February 25th. This free update includes three brand-new minigames and a mysterious advisor character, reminiscent of Apple Newton shareware. Given AppSir's history of spooky and surprising releases, expect the unexpected.

We previously reviewed Climb Knight favorably, and AppSir's positive response to the game's reception has led to this substantial update. The addition of three one-bit minigames and a cryptic advisor character promises even more unique indie fun. AppSir’s signature spooky aesthetic and intriguing gameplay are sure to be present.

AppSir demonstrates that dedicated indie developers can achieve popularity on mobile platforms by breaking the mold. While not quite the "New Blood" of smartphones, their games share similarities with the excellent Faith trilogy, particularly in their spooky, retro aesthetic.

Our previous review of Spooky Pixel Hero highlighted another excellent release from AppSir.
