How to Complete In Vino Veritas in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Some side quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* offer more enjoyment than others, yet some can be quite perplexing or frustrating. The "In Vino Veritas" quest is a perfect example, involving a series of detailed steps and even a nested side quest. Let's break down how to navigate this quest successfully.

Speak with Casper and Havel

To kick off "In Vino Veritas," locate Casper Rudolf by his drink cart on the east side of Kuttenberg City. You can easily find him by entering through the east gate and heading straight. Casper is curious about the secret behind the monks' exceptional wine, but you'll need to complete several tasks first. Make sure to exhaust all dialogue options with Casper to learn about Havel and the book he left with Adleta. This information will help you decide how to approach Havel.

If you're interested in retrieving the book from Adleta, head to the southeast corner of Kuttenberg's inner wall in the morning or afternoon. Look for an open garden where Adleta often spends her time. Before approaching her, gather five Marigolds. You can meet Adleta before her brother Hugo arrives or talk to Hugo to get his permission first. Be kind to Adleta during your conversation and mention you need the book for Casper. You have the option to pass a skill check to convince her to give you the book or offer her the Marigolds as a gift in exchange for the book. After obtaining the book, read it from your inventory.
