For anyone tackling the daunting task of facing Nerscylla in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, it's essential to understand this fearsome creature. Known for its terrifying appearance and deadly abilities, Nerscylla is a large spider that not only evokes fear but also serves as a valuable source of high-affinity weapons. If you're among those who find spiders unsettling, especially after watching the *Monster Hunter* film, this guide is for you.

How to Beat Nerscylla in Monster Hunter Wilds

Nerscylla's weaknesses include Fire and Thunder (once its mantle is broken), but it resists Sleep and is immune to Sonic Bombs. This agile and fast-moving spider uses its web to ensnare you, poison you with its bite, and even put you to sleep with its rear stinger. Its arsenal of status effect attacks makes Nerscylla a formidable foe. Ensure you bring antidotes for poison and a way to counteract sleep to avoid being overwhelmed.

There are two main types of attacks to be wary of: bite/pincer attacks and web attacks. The bite attack involves Nerscylla rearing back with two orange fangs protruding, then charging forward to slam them shut. This not only inflicts poison but also deals significant damage. To evade, move to its rear or quickly retreat.

Web attacks come in several forms. Nerscylla can shoot webs directly at you or release three webs at different angles successively. Getting caught in these webs will immobilize you, so dodge to avoid them. It can also charge at you horizontally, which is fast and requires you to block or dodge sideways. Another attack sees Nerscylla swinging upwards like Spider-Man, which you can also evade by moving sideways.

How to Capture Nerscylla in Monster Hunter Wilds

Capturing Nerscylla requires preparation and strategy. Equip yourself with a Pitfall Trap, a Shock Trap, and Tranq Bombs. While only one trap and two Tranq Bombs are technically needed, carrying extras can be a lifesaver in the unpredictable environment of *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

Engage Nerscylla in combat until it's near death, indicated by its limping and the appearance of a skull icon on your mini-map. Once weakened, set a trap, lure Nerscylla into it, and then use two Tranq Bombs to successfully capture this menacing spider.
