DanMachi Battle Chronicle, also known as Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle, has announced its end of service. Developer and publisher Aiming confirmed the shutdown today for this 3D action RPG.
When is DanMachi Battle Chronicle Ending Service?
The game will officially shut down on September 29, 2025. After this date, it will no longer be downloadable from the Google Play Store, App Store, or PC (Windows version). Customer support for all platforms will also cease on the same day.
Sales of the paid currency, Selas, will stop after the maintenance on July 30. However, players can continue to spend any remaining currency until the servers go offline. Refund requests for purchased Selas will be accepted from September 29 through December 28.
The official DanChro Discord server will close on July 31. The in-game "Join the Community" mission found in the Options screen will also be removed in late July. Furthermore, tokens earned from the Training Camp event will expire once that event concludes.
An offline version is planned for Android and iOS, but it will be limited to the Japanese release and will have restricted features. Japanese players will have the opportunity to transfer some of their progress to this version before the online service ends.
A Final Event is Coming
Originally announced and launched in the summer of 2023, DanMachi Battle Chronicle will mark its second anniversary just before closing.
The 2nd Anniversary celebration begins on July 30. It will introduce an event story based on an original concept, though it will not include any quests or ranking competitions.
As part of this final content update, a special limited-edition Scene Card exclusive to the event will be distributed. A promotional video for the anniversary is scheduled for release on July 21.
Another mobile title based on the franchise, DanMachi Memoria Freese, concluded its seven-year run in February 2024. It seems the operational lifespan for gacha-style RPGs is gradually getting shorter.
Players interested can still download and try the game for a final time from the Google Play Store.
