Dune Awakening Trailer Showcases the Wonders of Arrakis

Funcom has released a thrilling new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their upcoming multiplayer survival game set in Frank Herbert's iconic Dune universe. This latest preview showcases the vast, unforgiving deserts of Arrakis, highlighting the challenges and rewards awaiting players.

Survival in Dune: Awakening hinges on exploration. Players must traverse the treacherous dunes, scavenging vital resources to craft shelters, vehicles—including formidable ornithopters—and essential equipment. A handy scanner simplifies resource gathering, while deploying probes from high vantage points reveals crucial locations on the map.

These points of interest include everything from wrecked starships to deserted outposts. Reaching them often demands resourcefulness, utilizing tools like grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear. All equipment is upgradeable at your base using modular components, ensuring you're always prepared for the harsh realities of Arrakis.

Dune: Awakening enters early access on PC via Steam on May 20th. Console versions (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) will follow at a later date. In the meantime, players can create their characters and test their system's performance using the benchmark tool available on the Steam page, which also features a character editor. Prepare for the spice!
