by Emery May 20,2025

Final Destination: Bloodlines has made a spectacular debut at the global box office, surpassing the $100 million milestone during its opening weekend. With an even split of $51 million from both domestic and international markets, the film has achieved a remarkable total of $102 million. This impressive performance marks the highest opening weekend ever for a Final Destination movie. With such a strong start, Final Destination: Bloodlines is poised to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise, potentially eclipsing the current record held by The Final Destination, which earned $186.1 million back in 2009.

This latest installment also appears set to successfully breathe new life into a series that has been on hiatus since 2011's Final Destination 5, which grossed $157 million worldwide.

IGN's review of Final Destination: Bloodlines awarded it an 8/10, noting, “Final Destination: Bloodlines amps up the absurdity of Death’s design, and the resulting horror-comedy will have you dying laughing.” For those who have seen the film, don't miss our in-depth analysis in the Final Destination: Bloodlines ending explained feature.

Play In other box office news, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thunderbolts* has reached $325.7 million worldwide after three weeks in theaters. For comparison, Captain America: Brave New World concluded its theatrical run with $415 million globally.

Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, continues its successful run, now boasting $316.6 million at the global box office. Meanwhile, A Minecraft Movie is on the brink of reaching the $1 billion mark, currently standing at $928.6 million globally.
