Fortnite's latest Story Quests send you on a comet-chasing adventure! While some challenges are straightforward (like damaging opponents at various POIs), finding comet traces in the mountains presents a bit more of a puzzle. Here's how to efficiently complete this task.

Tracking Comet Traces in Fortnite Chapter 6 Mountains

The third stage of The Spirit Realm Quests involves locating three comet traces within a mountainous region southwest of the map. To maximize efficiency, focus on the mountain just south of Warrior's Watch. This area conveniently clusters two traces on the mountain behind the POI, and another on a nearby peak.

However, due to the high XP rewards associated with these quests, many players will be competing for these locations. Avoid landing directly on the mountain at the start of the match. Instead, land at Warrior's Watch, loot, and prepare. The comet traces aren't going anywhere.

Locating the traces requires some patience. They glow faintly white and display a magnifying glass icon only when you're quite close. Use your map to mark your target before approaching, preventing unexpected encounters while searching.
