"Fortress Frontlines Launches on Android: Endless Mobile Action Awaits"

by Mia Apr 20,2025

The tower defense genre might be feeling a bit crowded lately, especially with its frequent use in promotional ads. However, Sandsoft Games, the creators of the acclaimed Pocket Necromancer, have just launched Fortress Frontline on Android, bringing a fresh perspective to the mix.

Fortress Frontline simplifies the genre to its core: it's just you, defending one side of the screen against endless waves of enemies. Whether they're small and weak or large and formidable, you'll navigate through multiple runs, tweaking your loadout and unlocking permanent upgrades to extend your survival time.

While I might usually struggle to muster excitement for yet another tower defense game, Sandsoft Games have earned our respect at PG Towers. With its charmingly cartoony art style, Fortress Frontline offers plenty to enjoy. The game introduces heroes and rare cards to bolster your defenses, and a global leaderboard tracks your progress, letting you aim for the top—or perhaps the middle, as is often the case for many of us. It embraces the Vampire Survivors approach to roguelites, where the more powerful you become, the more spectacular your attacks.
