Genshin Impact heats up with new volcano area added in update 5.5

As the UK experiences a brief respite from the cold, with temperatures dipping back to near freezing, and many other places struggling with the arrival of spring, Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.5 update, "Day of the Flame's Return," promises to bring the heat you need. Set to launch on March 26th, this update introduces an exciting new volcano area in Natlan, complete with a hidden city and much more.

The highlight of the update is the Great Volcano of Tollan, where players can explore the newly accessible Sacred City of Tollan. This ancient Dragonborn-built structure holds the secrets of the Flamelord's Blessing, waiting to be uncovered as you delve into its depths.

But it's not just about the fiery landscapes; the update also introduces the final tribe of Natlan, the Tribe of Plenty, alongside a new Saurian, the Tatankasaurus. This powerful creature has the strength and size to shatter enormous rocks, adding a thrilling new element to your adventures.

The 5.5 update brings two new characters to aid you: Varessa, a five-star Electro Catalyst user who unleashes massive Electro damage, and Iansan, a four-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes, who can boost attack damage while healing her allies.
