Gigabyte RTX 5070 Card at MSRP for Prime Members on Amazon

by Anthony May 01,2025

If you've been eagerly awaiting the return of one of the more budget-friendly Blackwell cards to stock at a trusted retailer, now's your opportunity to snag one at the listed price. Amazon is currently offering the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Windforce OC 12GB Graphics Card exclusively to Amazon Prime members for $609.99, complete with free shipping. This GPU is perfect for gaming at up to 1440p with high framerates and supports the cutting-edge DLSS 4 technology.

It's worth noting that the suggested launch price for a GeForce RTX 5070 card is $549.99. While there are a few models available at that price, they're incredibly difficult to find in stock. The Windforce OC model is priced higher due to its overclocked version. Nonetheless, this is currently the most competitive price for a standalone RTX 5070 GPU.

Compared to the previous generation, the RTX 5070 offers performance similar to the RTX 4070 Super. While we hoped for a more significant generational leap in raw performance, the RTX 4070 Super was already a stellar card for 1080p and 1440p gaming. It launched at $599.99, just $10 less than this Gigabyte 5070 model. However, finding an RTX 4070 Super GPU at this price is nearly impossible now. The RTX 5070 not only looks better but also performs superiorly in games that support DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, making it a more future-proof option that will benefit from ongoing driver optimizations.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 delivers on its promise to play games at 1440p with high frame rates. However, its performance doesn't significantly outshine the RTX 4070 Super or other cards within its price range. The addition of Multi Frame Generation is a boon for those with high-refresh monitors, though it alone might not justify an upgrade for everyone."
