Playing cricket in the tight confines of an alley is often considered more exhilarating than on a traditional field, especially in India. This unique experience has inspired an indie Indian studio, 5th Ocean Studios, to launch their latest cricket game, *Gully Gangs: Street Cricket*, now available in Open Beta on Android.
Not Your Typical Cricket Simulator
*Gully Gangs: Street Cricket* breaks the mold with its 4v4 multiplayer format, set in the bustling Indian gullies—narrow alleys synonymous with the vibrant street life of India. This game marks the debut of a 4v4 street cricket experience, complete with rooftop catches, scooters as obstacles, and the inevitable shouts from neighbors about broken windows. Adding to the excitement, the game also supports 1v1 matches.
Players can execute powerful moves and communicate with their team through voice chat, enabling banter, sledging, emoji exchanges, and even some cheeky tactics during matches. The game's settings are authentically Indian, featuring live neighborhood action, where you'll encounter broken stumps, makeshift pitches, and unpredictable ball bounces off uneven walls.
Customization is a key feature, allowing players to form and personalize their gang with a variety of funky outfits and unlockable skins.
Gully Gangs: Street Cricket Now in Open Beta
5th Ocean Studios has ambitious plans for *Gully Gangs: Street Cricket*, including new street maps, additional outfits, regular events, clan wars, and an esports mode. Future updates will introduce leaderboards, daily and weekly challenges, and competitive gang vs. gang matchups.
Currently exclusive to Android, the studio aims to expand to iOS and Steam platforms, with full controller support and cross-platform play on the horizon. If you're eager to dive into this unique cricket experience, you can download the game from the Google Play Store.
