Hearthstone Reveals StarCraft Mini-Set Details and Release Date

Hearthstone's Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set: A Massive Expansion Arriving January 21st

Get ready for the biggest Hearthstone Mini-Set yet! Launching January 21st, Heroes of StarCraft introduces a whopping 49 new cards, blending the universes of Hearthstone and StarCraft.

This expansive Mini-Set features class-specific cards and multi-class cards tied to StarCraft factions: Zerg (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Warlock), Protoss (Druid, Mage, Priest, Rogue), and Terran (Paladin, Shaman, Warrior). Each faction boasts five cards, including a Legendary card, while a single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, rounds out the collection. The Mini-Set also includes cards that utilize the Starship mechanic from Hearthstone's The Great Dark Beyond expansion.

Initially teased during the Warcraft Direct in November 2024, the full details are finally here. The Zerg cards emphasize summoning Zerglings and utilizing Hydralisks for swarm-based damage. Protoss cards focus on mana manipulation, setting the stage for powerful card plays. Terran cards enhance the Starship mechanic with new pieces and strategies.

The increased card count comes with a slightly higher price point. A complete set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), while the all-Golden version is $80 (or 12,000 gold). However, individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (or 1200 gold).

To celebrate the launch, Hearthstone is hosting two streamed events:

• StarCast (January 23, 10 AM PST): Featuring StarCraft legends TrumpSC and Day9.
• HearthCraft (January 24, 9 AM PST): Showcasing Hearthstone community creators battling it out.
