According to SteamDB, these updates include an opt-in feature for the game on GeForce Now, Nvidia's game streaming platform, along with changes to assets and the legal section of the Steam store page, now citing the copyright as Team Cherry 2025, instead of 2019.

These developments suggest that something related to Hollow Knight: Silksong could be imminent, possibly indicating a 2025 release. With Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct scheduled for April 2, fans are eagerly anticipating updates and might not have to wait much longer for news.

However, in May 2023, Team Cherry announced a delay for Hollow Knight: Silksong beyond the first half of 2023, stating that more details would be forthcoming as the release date approached. At the time, Team Cherry's marketing and publishing lead, Matthew Griffin, stated, "We had planned to release in the first half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can."
