Marvel Rivals Reveals First Official Look at Blade

Summary

  • Marvel Rivals reveals official Blade artwork, hinting at a potential Season 2 playable character debut.
  • Midnight Features quests reward players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin.
  • Leaked Ultron abilities suggest a Strategist role, potentially as a future character.

Marvel Rivals' Season 1 introduces new maps, a game mode, and a battle pass, alongside the Midnight Features event. These quests, accessible via the in-game Season menu, are divided into five chapters, each with three challenges. Completing them rewards Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. All five chapters will be unlocked by January 17th.

Chapter 3's reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade battling Dracula, Season 1's antagonist. While previously rumored, this marks the first official confirmation of Blade's presence in the game. Season 1's storyline positions Dracula as having removed Blade and Doctor Strange from the battlefield.

Marvel Rivals Reveals Official Artwork of Blade in Season 1

Blade's artwork fuels speculation about his Season 2 debut as a playable character. Many believe Season 1 will conclude with the Fantastic Four defeating Dracula, rescuing Blade and Doctor Strange. Discussions center on Blade's potential role, with many suggesting a Duelist class. Leaks suggest a transformation ability, similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimates, enhancing strength, attacks, and providing wall-hack vision.

Beyond Blade, leaked Ultron abilities from Season 0 point towards a Strategist role, offering support and healing. While initially expected in Season 1, his arrival seems delayed. It's important to remember that leaks are unconfirmed rumors until officially announced. Despite this, the abundance of upcoming content generates significant player optimism for Marvel Rivals' future.
