Monopoly drops a new Valentine’s Day themed update with new house rules and a quiz

With Valentine’s Day approaching, Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have unveiled an exciting update for Monopoly on Android and iOS, inviting players to celebrate love through a range of limited-time features. This special Valentine’s Day event is set to enhance your gaming experience with a quiz, a 24-hour free token trial, revamped House Rules, and exclusive discounts on select tokens and bundles.

The event’s quiz is designed to match you with one of four Monopoly tokens, each symbolizing a unique aspect of love. Upon matching, you'll get to use your chosen token for free for 24 hours. If you decide to keep it after the trial, you can purchase it at a discounted rate.

In addition, the House Rules event introduces a fresh twist to the traditional Monopoly gameplay. Features like Quick Hotels allow you to build hotels after constructing only three houses instead of the usual four, while Quick End concludes the game after the first bankruptcy. Quick Jail enables you to leave jail on your first turn, and Starting Title Deeds grants every player three random properties at the start of the game. To speed up the gameplay further, you’ll bypass tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces.

To enhance the festive spirit, a new set of Cupid-inspired tokens is now available. Additionally, the Sweethearts bundle offers two cherub tokens ready to join the board this Valentine’s Day.
