Weapon damage in NieR: Automata varies with each swing. Upgrading reduces this variation and boosts potential damage.
The Iron Pipe boasts the game's widest damage range, yet also possesses incredibly high potential damage. Its unpredictable nature makes it a gamble, but definitely worth acquiring. Here's how:
How To Get The Iron Pipe in NieR: Automata
The Iron Pipe is a rare fishing reward found in sewers. Both sewer locations offer the same drop rate; the first is more accessible.
Fast travel to the Resistance Camp. Head right towards the Amusement Park, jump the small gap, and you'll find an open manhole under a highway.
Descend into the sewer, stand in the water, and fish. You'll catch junk items (sellable for money) along with a chance at the Iron Pipe. There's no guaranteed method; it might take seconds or minutes. Use your Pod's light in the dark sewer to improve visibility.
A second sewer is located en route to the Flooded City.
