While we're all eagerly anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's spotlight shines on a beloved franchise: Like a Dragon. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled fresh gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed adventures in Hawaii.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, expansive open-sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct fighting styles: a swift, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing their skills to combat, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's conclusion: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This decision marks a positive shift from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth release, where this mode was exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This welcome change means we only have to wait approximately six weeks for the official launch.
