Rainbow Six Siege Upcoming 10th Year Anniversary

Rainbow Six Siege X Won't Be a New Game, But Will Have Major Updates

Originally launched on December 1, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Rainbow Six Siege expanded to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2020. Over the years, Ubisoft has consistently updated the game, maintaining its status as one of the longest-running live-service shooter games across various platforms. The upcoming major update with Rainbow Six Siege X is poised to further extend the longevity of the Rainbow Six franchise.

In a Steam post dated February 17, 2025, Ubisoft introduced a new operator, Aurora, who can deploy bulletproof doors. Alongside this, a new elite skin for operator Aruni and a new reputation system that rewards or penalizes players based on their in-game behavior during a season will be introduced. These features will launch in Season 1 of the game's 10th year, Operation Prep Phase, on March 4, 2025, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations.

Given the timing of Season 10's launch and the showcase for Rainbow Six Siege X, it appears that the major upgrades will be implemented on the live servers at a later date.
