Silent Hill Transmission Sheds Light on Silent Hill f

New Official Reveal Trailer

The Silent Hill Transmission event on March 13, 2025, provided fans with fresh details about Silent Hill f, including a captivating new trailer. Unlike previous games set in a fictional U.S. town, Silent Hill f transports players to 1960s Japan.

The game's narrative follows Shimizu Hinako, an ordinary teenager whose life takes a dark turn when her town becomes engulfed in fog and undergoes terrifying transformations. Hinako must navigate this unfamiliar environment, solve puzzles, battle bizarre enemies, and make critical survival choices to confront a haunting decision. The story is described as "a tale about a beautiful yet terrifying choice."

Silent Hill f unfolds in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, inspired by Kanayama in Gero, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The development team meticulously recreated this setting, capturing its intricate alleyways and daily life sounds, and blending historical references to reflect the 1960s era.

Find the Beauty in Terror

Silent Hill f Brings Signature Horror to Japan

Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto revealed that the core concept of Silent Hill f is to "find the beauty in terror." While the game retains the series' psychological horror roots, the team embraced the challenge of exploring Japanese horror themes. Okamoto explained that Japanese horror often intertwines beauty with terror, suggesting that extreme perfection can evoke deep unease. Players will experience this through the eyes of a young girl facing a hauntingly beautiful decision.

Silent Hill f Is A Completely Independent Story

Okamoto emphasized that Silent Hill f offers a standalone story, welcoming both newcomers and veteran fans. The game includes subtle Easter eggs for long-time enthusiasts, while fans of the game's writer, Ryukishi07, known for his psychological horror visual novels, will find the narrative particularly engaging. Ryukishi07, a dedicated fan of the franchise, aims to blend Silent Hill's traditional elements with fresh challenges, questioning whether a game set outside the iconic town can still resonate as a true Silent Hill experience.

He confidently stated, "From a creator’s standpoint, I feel I can confidently say that what we’ve made is a Silent Hill game. However, we’re eager to hear from long-time fans and see if they agree."

Silent Hill f is now available for wishlisting on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with no specific release date announced yet. Stay updated with the latest on Silent Hill f by clicking on our article below!
