The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise. The event showcased exciting gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players throughout the anniversary celebration.

The festivities have already started with a new update. This update includes bug fixes, a revamped main menu, performance improvements, and redesigned classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. These updated houses are available immediately for new games, and accessible via the library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration begins February 4th with an update delivering over 70 free in-game items! A new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will also launch on February 4th. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a new collectible set by completing simple challenges.

Furthermore, a new season called "Motherlode" will debut in The Sims 4 on February 6th. Specific details about the "Motherlode" season's content are yet to be revealed.
