If you’re a fan of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, you’re in for a treat as Sony has officially released the PC specifications ahead of its April 3 launch. The remastered version brings enhanced visuals and features to the table, with support from studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy.
Key Features of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC:
- Graphics Enhancements: Support for Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution and AMD FSR 3.1 and FSR 4 with upscaling and frame generation.
- Customization Options: VSync and framerate cap settings, including an uncapped option. DirectStorage support for improved load times.
- Visual Quality Adjustments: Adjustable texture quality, LOD distance range, volumetric quality, shadow quality, ambient occlusion, and reflections quality.
- Display Options: Compatibility with ultrawide monitors, allowing resolutions of 21:9, 32:9, and even 48:9 with triple-monitor setups.
- Resolution: Supports 4K resolution and multiple controller options, including keyboard and mouse configurations.
- Audio: 3D audio for immersive soundscapes.
PC Specifications:
No Return Mode Updates: Two new characters are joining No Return mode: Bill from The Last of Us Part I and Marlene. Each character brings unique playstyles:
- Bill: A “Smuggler” with access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops, double rewards from drops, and resistance to melee attacks but no dodging ability.
- Marlene: A “Risk Taker” with a Custom Assault Rifle, “All or Nothing” gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Additionally, four new maps are coming to No Return:
- Overlook: High above Seattle with plenty of verticality.
- School: An abandoned elementary school.
- Streets: Set in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood.
- Nest: Infected-infested building.
These updates, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will arrive via a free 2.0.0 patch on PS5 and PC simultaneously.
PSN Sign-In Incentives: Logging into PSN on PC grants access to PlayStation overlay and Trophies, along with 50 in-game points for bonus features. A new Ellie skin featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is also available.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet: Neil Druckmann revealed more details about this upcoming game, which stars Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun. Set in an alternate historical timeline with evolving religious themes, the game has been in development for four years.
HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2: Season 2 will reintroduce spores, absent from Season 1, according to showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin.
