What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?

Originally released in Japan in 1995 and 1998 respectively, *Suikoden I* and *Suikoden II* made their way to Western audiences a year later. These games are renowned for their unique mechanic of recruiting 108 warriors to join your cause against evil forces.

The remaster maintains the charm of the original pixelated graphics while enhancing them for modern widescreen displays. Spell effects have been refined for smoother visuals, and character portraits have been redrawn in HD. Beyond the visual upgrades, the remaster introduces quality-of-life features such as the ability to speed up battles, an auto-battle mode, auto-save functionality, and a conversation log to prevent missing important dialogue. The user interface has also been revamped, making tasks like changing equipment more intuitive.
