Torchlight: Infinite's eagerly awaited Season 8, dubbed "Sandlord," is set to launch on April 17th, promising a transformative experience for fans of the ARPG. This season introduces a range of innovative features, starting with the mesmerizing Cloud Oasis, a hub for economic gameplay where players can engage in trading resources, managing workforce, and overseeing production lines to construct their very own aerial empire. This new mechanic, Sandlord, revolutionizes the traditional gameplay by adding a layer of strategic empire-building to the mix.

The beloved character, Thea, makes a comeback with an intriguing twist. Her new trait, Blasphemer, allows her to swap her divine abilities for the curse of Desecration. This curse starts off modestly but grows exponentially, enhancing Erosion damage based on the depletion of her blessing power. Players can further amplify this into area of effect (AoE) explosions or health-scaling effects, making it a perfect choice for those who relish in damage-over-time strategies and synergistic build configurations.

Endgame content receives a significant overhaul with the complete rework of Deep Space. Players can now explore five new stages, navigate through expanded maps, and face off against more formidable foes. The introduction of the Probes system allows players to adjust the level of risk and reward, with each Probe increasing the challenge but offering the potential for superior loot, including the coveted Compass chests obtained through the Compass Probe.

Season 8 also brings a new Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to combine Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This feature deepens the possibilities for character builds, providing players with more control over their gameplay experience. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the game, challenging players in the Plane Watcher and on the 20th floor of the Supreme Showdown.
