The timing of the leak, just hours before Sony's 40-minute State of Play presentation, strongly hints at an official announcement. The Digimon Story franchise boasts a rich history, beginning with the original Nintendo DS title in the mid-2000s and continuing with titles like Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (2015), Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (2017), and their 2019 Complete Edition.
