On RYFFC, you'll be exposed to a wide array of thoughts, articles, and opinions. Although there is no censorship on our app, we ensure it remains a non-triggering environment through our anti-bullying systems and a comprehensive self-moderation system. This allows users to curate their feed, avoiding content they aren't ready to engage with yet.
Ryff
A core feature of RYFFC is the Ryff. A Ryff is a concise "hot take" on an article, limited to 88 characters, generated by the user. Fellow Ryffers engage with articles, pop culture, and news in a unique way, bypassing traditional comment structures. If a Ryff catches your eye, you can interact with the Ryffer by giving a Ryff Back. Remember, at RYFFC, we take turns, so choose your words wisely as you can only Ryff on another's Ryff once until they respond.
Self Moderation
At RYFFC, users have the power to self-select the level of controversy or triggering material they wish to see at any given time. We offer three levels of moderation:
- G - "General" audience moderation level. Ideal for users who prefer to view mild or non-controversial content.
- M - "Moderate" audience moderation level. Suited for users interested in mild to moderately controversial content.
- BE - "Bleeding Edge" audience moderation level. For users who want to access all available content, including highly controversial topics.
Voting
In conjunction with self-moderation, users have the ability to vote on the moderation level assigned to articles, tailoring their experience even further.
Superboost
Superboost adds a fun and exciting dimension to your interactions. If you come across a post that you really connect with, you can give it an extra boost with a Superboost, making your "Like" even more impactful.
Like/Dislike
Our traditional like/dislike system gets a fresh twist. Instead of clicking a thumb, simply swipe left or right on the article to express your sentiment.
