Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Act 3's Secret Riches

Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, but some remain elusive, never appearing in your quest log. This is true for the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. While labeled as Quest Items, they function differently. Unlike typical Quest Items, finding a Golden Idol doesn't trigger a new quest entry. Instead of progressing a questline for a reward, these idols offer a significant gold payout.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal, the Drowned City (its past glory). Within Utzaal and the connected Aggorat area, you'll discover these valuable items. They aren't random enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded side rooms.

  • Glorious Idol
  • Golden Idol
  • Grand Idol

• Aggorat Golden Idols:

  • Exceptional Idol
  • Elegant Idol

Cashing In Your Treasures

Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the north. He's the only vendor who will buy these unique items. The payout for each is as follows:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five will net you a tidy 6000 Gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade goods, it's best to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space.
