Allah says in the Quran:
**"And establish prayer for My remembrance" (20:14),**
**"Successful indeed are the believers, those who are humble in their prayers" (23:1-2),**
**"And establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater" (29:45).**
From these verses, we understand that prayer reminds us of Allah, instills humility, and keeps us away from immorality and evil deeds. However, the reality often differs. While standing in prayer, our minds may wander to business, jobs, farming, family issues, and daily life concerns. How humble are we before the Almighty, the Most Honored, and the Most Majestic Allah? Despite millions of Muslims performing their five daily prayers, many still engage in acts considered immoral or unjust by Islamic standards, such as usury, lying, cursing, and backbiting. Why does this happen?
The reason is that we often do not know what we are reciting in our prayers, during Quran recitation, in Sujood, Ruku, and while sitting. Consequently, prayer becomes a mere routine, performed without understanding. **Is this the example of an educated nation?** It is crucial to know what you are reciting in your prayers today.
"Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward like that of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any way." [Sahih Muslim: 2678]
