WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto is a collection of progressive cognitive exercises based on simple geometric shapes. It aims to develop and sharpen visual and spatial perception skills. Anyone can enjoy it—the only requirement is the ability to recognize basic shapes and understand the concept of a stencil.

Solving each puzzle demands a blend of critical thinking skills, including visual-spatial perception, logical reasoning, planning, and problem-solving—all at once. It's deceptively simple yet mentally engaging. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the correct sequence to replicate the target pattern. It's much trickier than it appears and will definitely get you thinking!

The game was developed over a decade by an experienced teacher, with input from children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with learning difficulties or brain injuries. Every group has found it both rewarding and motivating.

In this latest version, we've introduced Education Mode. This makes the game classroom-friendly. All relevant content is unlocked with a single purchase, and controls are provided for content access, internet use, Game Center, and sharing. Education Mode supports Family Sharing, making it perfect for home educators as well.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally called the Stencil Design IQ Test, the game was created by Dr. Grace Arthur, an early 20th-century psychologist who recognized non-verbal skills as a core component of intelligence. She found it suitable for everyone from seven-year-olds to university professors. Tasked with assessing the IQ of Native American and deaf children who struggled with verbal tests due to limited schooling, she used this activity to demonstrate that their intelligence matched that of educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

There are two game types. Classic Games use the original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses, etc.) familiar to most. Our new World Games offer advanced challenges for those with strong perception and logic skills.

Stenciletto features over 600 graded puzzles. Each level includes a free set to try (60 free puzzles in total).

Each paid game contains 15 puzzles. Completing a Classic Game rewards you with an animated Smiley. These are based on famous historical and mythological figures to represent diverse cultures fairly. They also provide a fun way to track your progress and achievements.

Different modes of play are available:-

• Mortal Mode is the default, where you either buy lives or wait for them to regenerate. It's timed, scored, and features Mortal leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode gives you unlimited free lives—just top up your life bank as needed. It's timed, scored, and includes Immortal leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode has no timer or scoring, letting you relax and solve puzzles at your own pace.

• Education Mode unlocks both Immortal and Mindful Modes (Mortal Mode can be disabled), letting you choose your preferred style of play.
