"Now You See Me 3: Now You Don't, Sequel Confirmed"

by Joshua Apr 14,2025

Big news for fans of the Now You See Me series: the highly anticipated third installment, officially titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. But that's not all—director Ruben Fleischer is already gearing up to bring us a fourth film in this thrilling action-heist franchise, which has already amassed a staggering $700 million at the global box office.

During CinemaCon, Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, took the stage to share this exciting news. He confirmed that Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is right on schedule for its November 2025 release.

The original cast, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by a fresh lineup of talent in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Newcomers Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt will step into the roles of a new generation of illusionists, while Rosamund Pike adds her star power to the ensemble.

Ruben Fleischer, who directed Zombieland and the blockbuster hits Uncharted and Venom, is thrilled to reunite with Eisenberg and Harrelson. He shared, "Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going."

Bobby Cohen, the mastermind behind the series, will once again produce alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout, with Meredith Wieck overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

Fogelson praised Fleischer's work, stating, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and are thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."

Past reviews of the series have been mixed. IGN gave the first Now You See Me a 6.3/10, noting, "Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." The sequel, Now You See Me 2, scored a 6.2, with IGN stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."

With the promise of more magic and heists on the horizon, fans of the Now You See Me franchise have much to look forward to.
