You’re free to revisit every corner of feudal Japan and fully immerse yourself in its world after the main story ends.

New weekly challenges will also roll out via the Animus after launch, ensuring there’s always more to do, even after hitting 100% completion.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Even after the credits roll, your story isn’t necessarily over. In my playthrough, the title and credits triggered after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for both Yasuke and Naoe—but I still hadn’t earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the true ending and epilogue, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Then, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to trigger the full conclusion of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and claim the associated achievements.

Exclusive gear tied to the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke becomes available near the end of the game. These armor sets offer unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s distinct playstyle, and their designs are sure to resonate with longtime Assassin’s Creed fans.

As for endgame progression, players can continue leveling up well beyond the credits, all the way to the game’s maximum level cap.

New content will be delivered through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely receive updates with fresh items. A story expansion titled Claws of Awaji is also set to release later in 2025, taking players to the newly accessible Island of Awaji and adding more than 10 hours of new narrative content.
