Just one month after its release and its inclusion in Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have unveiled an exciting new trailer for Avowed. The video features a montage of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, emphasizing the overwhelmingly positive reception of this action-RPG.
The latest update for Avowed introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These cutting-edge technologies significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving an impressive 340 FPS. Additionally, the developers have hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding the game's future support and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update isn't solely focused on technical enhancements; it also improves the overall player experience. Players will now gain an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced in the game will receive these points automatically upon loading. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running, enhancing control flexibility. Furthermore, a new accessibility option has been added, which increases font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text, making the game more accessible to a wider audience.
While Avowed didn't leave critics entirely speechless, it has still managed to secure strong reviews across the board. Digital Foundry went as far as to call the game a technical "triumph," further cementing its status as a standout title from Obsidian.
