NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, especially considering the game never reached its full release. Following a global test in August 2023 and early access in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.
Battle Crush Shutdown Date:
The game servers will officially close on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. However, refunds are available for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024.
Android and Steam users can request refunds from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired game content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward.
The official Battle Crush website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media and Discord channels will close on January 31st, 2025.
Unexpected Closure?
The sudden closure is undoubtedly disappointing for players who invested time and effort into the game. While enjoyable, Battle Crush’s somewhat clunky controls and pacing issues likely contributed to its premature end. The game simply didn't quite capture the market.
You can still download Battle Crush from the Google Play Store before the servers shut down. For more gaming news, check out our next article covering the story-driven quests in Black Desert Mobile's Autumn Season.
