Battlefield 6 to Be Officially Revealed This Week

by Scarlett Oct 08,2026

After a prolonged period of anticipation, EA is poised to officially unveil its upcoming Battlefield installment. The title appears to be Battlefield 6, with the first trailer scheduled for release on July 24 at 8am PT.

This information stems from a YouTube listing on the official Battlefield channel, indicating a scheduled stream for that specific date and time. The listing lacks additional details but features official artwork depicting four soldiers surveying a battle within a metropolitan environment, complete with ships, helicopters, aircraft, and other elements.

The wait for Battlefield 6 has been extensive. Initially announced in 2021, it was primarily EA's confirmation that development on new Battlefield titles was continuing following Battlefield 2042. Since then, early concept art has been revealed, and it was confirmed that the game will be set in a modern era.

Although the game is currently slated for release before March 2026, EA CEO Andrew Wilson has suggested flexibility regarding the launch date, potentially adjusting it based on competitors like GTA 6.

Over the past few months, footage from closed playtests of Battlefield 6 has begun to leak online, showcasing the modern setting, various combat scenarios, destructible environments, quality-of-life enhancements, and the beginning of a battle royale match.

EA has experienced a challenging year, marked by multiple rounds of layoffs, an unpopular return-to-office mandate, and the cancellation of both upcoming titles like Cliffhanger's Black Panther and existing games such as Anthem.
