Battlefield 6 Set for October Release at $80: Leak

by Charlotte Jul 10,2026

Battlefield 6 is reportedly launching in October with a price point of $80.

Renowned leaker Dealabs' Billbil-kun suggests these rumors hold weight, indicating an October 10, 2025 release across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Two editions will be available: Standard ($79.99) and Phantom ($109.99), though PC players may benefit from a $10 discount.

Pre-orders are expected to begin July 31. Interestingly, EA appears to be skipping early access perks—a departure from industry norms—while allowing Standard edition upgrades to Phantom later for $29.99.

The Battlefield team has also confirmed an open beta is coming soon. Their social media teaser hinted at customizable weapon restrictions: “Starting at Open Beta, players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not.”

EA’s full reveal arrives today, July 24, with a debut trailer at 8am PT. The game’s official title remains Battlefield 6.

A leaked campaign teaser yesterday set the stage for a near-future NATO crisis—featuring attacks in Georgia, Gibraltar’s invasion, and Brussels HQ assassination by rogue faction Pax Armata.

Announced back in 2021 post-Battlefield 2042, details have trickled through via concept art and leaks. Playtesters praise improvements like vehicle clinging, refined movement, and destructible 3D maps—signaling a rebound from Battlefield 2042’s mixed reception. EA initially tolerated leaked footage showcasing battle royale elements and streamlined mechanics.
