Bethesda's official Twitter/X account teased an upcoming announcement scheduled for 8am PT/11am ET tomorrow, to be streamed simultaneously on YouTube and Twitch. While no specific details were shared, the prominent "IV" logo and familiar Oblivion-themed background art strongly suggest this will be the long-awaited remake reveal.
From Rumors to Reality
The gaming community has been abuzz with Oblivion remake rumors for years. The speculation gained traction when a 2020 Bethesda release schedule surfaced during the 2023 FTC vs. Microsoft trial, listing an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. While initially dismissed as potentially canceled, fresh leaks in January 2025 suggested the project had evolved into a full remake, developed by Bethesda alongside support studio Virtuos.
Last week's Virtuos website leaks, which included actual in-game images from the remake, effectively confirmed the project's existence before tomorrow's official announcement.
What We Know So Far
If recent leaks prove accurate, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. The project is expected to offer both Standard and Deluxe Editions, with the latter reportedly including the infamous horse armor that became a meme in the original game.
Fans can tune in tomorrow for the official confirmation and additional details about this ambitious reimagining of one of gaming's most beloved RPGs.
Stay tuned for updates following Bethesda's official announcement at 8am PT/11am ET tomorrow.
