Blood Strike debuts a gory winter event for you action seekers out there

NetEase's flagship battle royale Blood Strike is set to debut its requisite winter event for the holidays. However, if you were expecting snowy trees and Christmas wrapping, you may be disappointed. And that's because Blood Strike's winter event for 2024 comes with a whole host of new shoot-'em-up action!

For one, there's a new mode to enjoy in the form of Zombie Royale. If you ever played Infected or other types of multiplayer modes like it, you'll probably already know what to expect; it's kill or be killed in a battle of humans vs the living dead, with downed players joining the undead hordes; although they may be friendlier than usual.

The new mode is complemented by the addition of the powerful Blood Crystal Greatsword, equipped with deadly new attacks. Meanwhile, logging in between December 5th and January 8th can earn you the Ultra Gun Skin, with an additional Ultra Striker Skin only available until the 25th. And on top of that, there are new rewards for friend invites, and even for logging in on Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) itself!

Yes, zombies and laser swords might not be what you think of when you think about Christmas but- well, I've actually got no defence for that, you're probably right.
