Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Coming to PlayStation 5

Another big Xbox game is landing on PlayStation 5 — and this time it's Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Announced with a fresh trailer during today's PlayStation State of Play, the latest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator will arrive on Sony's console on December 8, 2025.

A trailer revealed that PlayStation VR2 support is also in development, though it won’t be available at launch and is set to arrive via a free update in 2026.

"To make this PlayStation experience truly shine, we embraced the immersive features offered by the DualSense wireless controller," Microsoft Flight Sim lead Jorg Neumann wrote in a PlayStation blog post on the announcement. "Adaptive triggers respond to different speeds and surface types on the ground and provide sloped resistance in the air.

"Communications from air traffic control (ATC) play through the controller speaker, simulating the feel of a real cockpit. Gyro controls, lightbar support, and a customizable touchpad further enhance immersion during flight."

Once again developed by Asobo Studio in partnership with Microsoft Game Studios, anyone who owns the PlayStation 5 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will get the most up-to-date version of the game and enjoy the same free World Updates and Sim Updates as on PC and Xbox.
