Maximize Your Pokémon TCG Pocket Experience: A Booster Pack Guide
At launch, Pokémon TCG Pocket offers three Genetic Apex booster packs: Charizard, Mewtwo, and Pikachu. This guide prioritizes which packs to open first to optimize your card collection and deck-building potential.
Which Booster Packs Should You Open First?
The Charizard pack is undoubtedly the best starting point. It offers not only the powerful Charizard Ex and key Fire-type Pokémon for a high-damage deck, but also Sabrina, the game's top Supporter card. Additionally, you'll find strong cards like Starmie Ex, Kangaskhan, and Greninja, plus Erika and Blaine, crucial for Grass and Fire decks respectively.
Booster Pack Priority: The Optimal Strategy
Here's the recommended order for opening your booster packs:
- Charizard: Focus on acquiring versatile and essential cards that can be incorporated into various deck types.
- Mewtwo: Excellent for building a strong Psychic deck centered around Mewtwo Ex and the Gardevoir line.
- Pikachu: While currently a top meta deck, the Pikachu Ex cards are more niche and may lose their meta status quickly with the release of Promo Mankey.
While ultimately you'll need to open all three packs to complete secret missions, prioritizing Charizard first ensures you acquire powerful and widely useful cards to form the foundation of your collection. Use your Pack Points to fill in any gaps later.
