If you've been on the hunt for an exceptional OLED TV at an unbeatable price, this offer is worth your attention. Woot! (an Amazon company) currently sells the 65-inch Samsung S90D 4K OLED Smart TV for just $1,074.99. Amazon Prime members receive complimentary shipping, while non-members pay a minimal $6 delivery fee. This is a brand-new television backed by Samsung’s full one-year warranty. According to RTINGS, the Samsung S90D outperforms the popular LG C4 OLED in several areas: it offers higher brightness, a broader color spectrum, richer color volume, superior viewing angles, and more refined HDR gradient handling. It also serves as an outstanding display for your PS5 or Xbox Series X.

The Samsung S90D is the 2024 predecessor model. While a new "S90F" model has launched for 2025, it comes at more than double the cost. The S90D is built with Samsung's proprietary quantum dot (QD) OLED panel. QD OLED technology delivers greater brightness than conventional OLED screens while preserving OLED's signature color accuracy, wide gamut, and expansive viewing angles. Compared to traditional LED LCD TVs, OLED provides superior picture performance with near-infinite blacks, nearly limitless contrast ratios, and near-instant pixel response times.

Beyond OLED advantages, the Samsung S90D is packed with essential gaming TV features. It includes a native 120Hz panel capable of reaching up to 144Hz, plus four HDMI 2.1 ports that allow 4K gaming at 120Hz on PS5 or Xbox Series X. The S90D also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). These features are an ideal match for the recently launched PlayStation 5 Pro, which can run more games in quality mode (native 4K at 120fps) compared to the standard PS5 that often requires performance mode (upscaled 4K).

Is this a good TV for the Nintendo Switch 2?

While a current-generation console, the Nintendo Switch 2 has more modest TV requirements than the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When docked and connected to a TV, the Switch 2 supports 4K output at up to 60 frames per second. It can reach 120fps at 1080p resolution, though the required bandwidth is similar for both modes. Interestingly, VRR is not supported in docked mode—it’s exclusive to handheld use. Even so, the Switch 2 will still take full advantage of the Samsung S90D's stunning OLED display.
