Bug Hammers Marvel Rivals Players

A shocking discovery on Reddit reveals a game-breaking bug in Marvel Rivals that disproportionately affects players with less powerful PCs. Low FPS (frames per second) results in several heroes exhibiting significantly reduced movement speed and damage output! This effectively transforms Marvel Rivals, already a demanding game, into a pay-to-win experience, but the "payment" isn't to the developers – it's for upgraded PC hardware.

This is clearly a bug, not an intended game mechanic. However, a swift fix is unlikely. The underlying issue stems from the Delta Time parameter, a crucial element in game development that ensures consistent gameplay regardless of frame rate. Correcting this will require considerable time and effort.

The confirmed list of affected heroes includes:

  • Doctor Strange
  • Wolverine
  • Venom
  • Magik
  • Star-Lord

These characters experience slower movement, reduced jump height, and diminished damage. Other heroes may also be affected. Until a patch is released, players are advised to prioritize improving their FPS, even if it means compromising graphical settings.
