by Eleanor Mar 17,2025

CD Projekt RED recently unveiled a ten-minute behind-the-scenes video detailing the creation of the first The Witcher 4 trailer. A key highlight for fans? The significantly improved portrayal of Ciri. The updated model showcases subtle yet impactful refinements, addressing earlier criticism regarding her appearance.

Following the initial reveal of The Witcher 4, some players felt Ciri's design was a departure from her previous iterations. This new model, however, appears much closer to her original look, likely thanks to improved lighting and corrections for fisheye lens distortion.

Fan reactions are mixed. Some celebrate this as a direct response to community feedback, while others see it as the result of minor technical adjustments and improved lighting. Social media discussions are lively, with many expressing satisfaction at Ciri's return to a more familiar, "natural" appearance.
